Dream of swapping pavements for stunning coastal trails?
Of switching your lengths in the pool for swims off secluded bays?
Trading the studio for yoga in stunning countryside?
Then join our awesome team and other like-minded folk
that said a big, hell yes!
Not a runner? Not a swimmer? Not a yogi? Don't panic!
Our team of expert guides and instructors will tailor their sessions to
ensure all abilities get the absolute most of their experience.
Get 'game changing' pointers on your swim technique from our epic swim coach, during a dedicated swim coaching session in the River Dart. The weekend also includes an open water swim, overseen by our expert swim safety team, allowing you to challenge yourself safely in open waters. If conditions allow we will aim to get all swimmers to complete the 1.5km around iconic Burgh Island. If conditions don’t then we will choose an alternative open water or river swim. There is also always the option of a dip either during or after your runs!

Swim
Your home is a rustic, detached barn which has magnificent views down to the River Dart. In a beautiful, peaceful valley this is the perfect base for a weekend of off the grid activity. Comprising of 10 bedrooms each with its own private bathroom. The outdoor hot tubs will be especially welcomed to ease aching muscles and provide the perfect spot to soak up this idyllic setting.

Stay
We will host you and a small group of other good folk for 3 nights
(Friday - Monday) in an idyllic rural retreat, set within the lush rolling hills
of South Devon. Immersing you in everything that stunning South Devon has to offer. Every single element will be taken care of allowing you to focus on the challenge at hand and savour the experience.

Answer the call of the wild.
Swim, Run and Yoga by the sea in South Devon.
Due to these tricky times, sadly no more escapes are planned for the future, if anything should change you will be the first to know!

Meet The Team

Ceri was a triple national cross country champion as a junior, before turning his attention to rugby but in his mid 30s returned to his first love; endurance running, down in Devon. He set up his business Wild Running, which won an UnLtd Social Entrepreneurs award and has organised trail and swimrun events for thousands of people of all abilities, through his Wild Running Events, Something Wild Events and as co founder of the Wild Night Run Series. He also guides as a Qualified Mountain Leader all over the UK, and writes for several outdoor magazines as a specialist writer and makes his own Wild Running podcast series.
Ceri has competed internationally and won many trail marathons, ultras and fell races around the UK but he now prers to focus his energies on the holistic benefits of running for its own sake and the numerous lessons it can teach you. He aims to counter the myth that performance and enjoyment should be at opposite ends of the same continuum and to share his passion and insight with you.

Jo enjoys racing all over the world, selected to run for GB in the World Trail champs (her best is 7th) and in the 100km champs (her best is 4th). Jo is a crazy ultra runner....on roads, in the mountains, through deserts and on trails.
She has been a runner for a long time working hard towards her goals.
She is also a passionate physiotherapist. Her working week is split in two; self employed in Exeter and employed by the English Institute of Sport in Bath treating funded athletes on their journey to Tokyo.
In her spare time she can be found on Dartmoor, baking and drinking gin...not necessarily in that order!

Joe runs his own business ‘Barefoot athlete’ in South Devon and has attended most of Ceri’s Wild Running camps. He has become something of a cult figure in the movement world, featuring in several renowned running books. Joe believes that our ultimate potential lies not in fancy technology or equipment but is buried deep in our primitive biology and full engagement in sports is (and should be) a playful, curious and thoroughly enjoyable experience.
He believes that many of the problems we have to overcome regarding fitness and movement, relate to being removed from our natural context - the hills, trees, trails and other people - and transferred our practice to a sterile gym where the machines do the thinking leaving our minds bored and in need of distraction.
